Calming Lotion Recipe - Made with Essential Oils


Through a few experiments, this recipe has become my go-to lotion. It includes lavender oil for relaxing and replenishing the natural softness of my skin. Francincense long known for it's powerful anti-inflammatory properties, it is also an effective natural remedy to calm the complexion. For irritated or damaged skin, frankincense oil restores the epidermis. For sunburn, rosacea or breakouts, this healing oil soothes the skin. Remember the wise man brought this to Jesus when he was born, I believe it was because of its great healing properties!

 

Please use a sterlized glass jar. Blend together with a wooden spoon.

 

1 cup Shea Butter

10 drops Frankencense

10 drops Jojoba Oil

15 drops Lavender

5 Drops of Myrrh (optional)


Take a dab of the lotion and gently apply In a circle motion on your face. At bedtime rub some into your hands, then cup your hands and take a deep breath. you will feel an immediate sense of calm before your head touches the pillow!
